Kindergarten

Ms. Kari Strandstra

Hi! I am Kari Strandstra and I am excited to be

teaching Kindergarten at TIA! I have been

teaching for sixteen years in both public and

private schools. Most of my experience has

been with Kindergarten and First Grade. I have

my CLAD/Multiple Subject Teaching Credential

with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary

Studies with a focus on Cultural Studies. I adore

teaching and love seeing the amazing growth in

each and every child.

Ms. Lindsay Strachan

Welcome! I am Mrs. Lindsay Strachan and I will be one of

the Kindergarten teachers this year. I feel so

lucky to be a part of the TIA team! I received my

Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with Cal

State Teach and have my Master of Arts in

Teaching from Fresno State. I am also a

mommy to a beautiful almost five year old girl

and fur mom to 2 dogs. I cannot wait to get to

know your children and watch them learn and

grow!

1st/2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs.Jill Lam

Welcome!

My name is Jill Lam. I am married with 2

amazing children. I have lived in this area for

over 20 years. I have my Masters Degree in

Education with a speciality in Physical Education.

After over 14 years of teaching in the elementary

setting, I took time off to be home with my

children. I couldn't be more excited to be

returning to teaching now and being a part of the

TIA team. I look so forward to meeting all of my

"little scholars" this week!

Third Grade Teacher

Ms. Allison Will

Hi! My name is Allison Will, and I will be teaching

third grade for TIA this year. I am very excited to

be working for this school. I have lived in

Murrieta since I was six years old. I went to

Idaho for college and majored in Elementary

Education. I have my teaching credential from

both California and Idaho. I am very eager to

start teaching, and I am looking forward to

meeting all of my students!

4th/5th Grade Teacher

Ms. Cindi Perkins

Hi, my name is Cindi Perkins, I'll be the 4th/5th

grade teacher. I've just moved back “home” to

California after living the last 24 years in Tucson,

Arizona. I couldn't be happier or more excited!

I am a single mom with 3 amazing kids, two will

be at TVHS and one at TIA this year! This

will be my 7th year teaching; I have taught 4th,

5th, 7th and 8th grades.

6th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Julie Johnstone

Hi, my name is Julie Johnstone. I am very

excited to be teaching 6th grade at TIA. I am

originally from the San Francisco Bay area. I

attended Cal State University Sacramento where

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Communication

Studies. I received my California Multiple Subject

Teaching Credential from the College of Notre

Dame. I am married with 3 wonderful children, 2

daughters in high school and a son in middle

school. I have lived in Murrieta for 18 years. I

have for a total of 6 years, the last 3 years in

middle school. I am so excited to be teaching at

such an innovative charter school and look

forward to a great year!

Ms. Alex Fratzke

 

French/Spanish teacher

Mrs. Kelly Miclot

Madame Miclot hails from Vancouver, British

Colombia. I have completed a degree in

Psychology before obtaining my Bachelor of

Education. I completed my teacher program

in French. I have spent the school year

teaching in Paris, France. I relocated to

Mexico City where I taught 2nd grade before

settling Southern California. I currently reside

in Orange County with my husband son.
